Hey all!

Well, first off i take a computer class called Cisco, we learn everything and thats whats annoying, i cant figure this out. It says "ERROR: You don't have an NVIDIA or ATI/AMD card. This game may not run correctly or at all." but i have an ATI Radeon 3650 DDR2 1GB graphics card(it runs the latest Devil May Cry with ease, which requires 4.0 shader models) installed into my computer with updated drivers(just downloaded the latest like 20 minutes ago and installed to make sure).

Now ill put up my log and such, i was reading through it and its looking at the wrong stuff, like the game isnt detecting my ATI card im assuming. Anyways i cant runany openGL applications so maybe after this problem is fixed ill be able to run them.

Ok, heres the logfiles:

Again, i have an amazing graphics card and reading through its supposed to support all the latest D3D and OpenGL versions out there, so this is becoming incredibly confusing. If ANYONE can help, please do. If you think i need to update something please provide a download link.

THANK YOU!!!
Sounds like an issue with your drivers.

I downloaded them straight off of amd.com. My Catalyst is ver. 9.9

Thanks though, any other thoughts?
It's definitely a problem with OpenGL support not being setup properly, but I don't have any idea how you'd fix it. This part of your log:
Quote:INFO: Video card information:
Vendor: Microsoft Corporation
Renderer: GDI Generic
Version: 1.1.0
Maximum texture size: 1024
Using GLEW 1.4.0

indicates that the default OpenGL 1.0 software renderer written by microsoft many many years ago is being used. That shouldn't ever happen if you have 3D card drivers installed; you should usually see something like this:
Quote:INFO: Video card information:
Vendor: NVIDIA Corporation
Renderer: GeForce 7900 GT/GTO/PCI/SSE2/3DNOW!
Version: 2.1.2 NVIDIA 180.44
Maximum texture size: 4096
Using GLEW 1.5.0

That's why I was thinking it was the drivers. You might want to try talking to AMD/ATI support. Sorry I couldn't help.
Get this. I installed 8.6 Catalyst Suite since it was the one saying it had some opengl fixes. The newer versions of Catalyst dont work ive tried almost all versions.

Anyways, now i can run OpenGL Programs, BUT!!!! I get a blue screen of death upon exitting them saying "Atiok3x2.dll has encountered an error" and saying "Page_fault_in_nonpaged_area"

So im obviously getting closer, any suggestions on how to fix this?

What ive tried:
AGP Fastwrite off(in CCC only, i cant find it in my BIOS)

Restarting and checking the error by using other OpenGL applications, same problem persists

Deleting ALL Ati-related items, then reinstalling 8.6 Catalyst Suite again

googling the BSOD, seems no one else has had this error.

So imma see if anyone here can help, if not then i guess ill just have to figure it out on my own like i have the other problems(theres been a dozen, i got a fail-safe way to fix the ati2dvag.dll infinate loop bluescreen too Big Grin). its taking too long to get my machine perfect though...

PS: Speaking of ati2dvag infinate loop BSOD, i fixed that by making my AGP to Processor Controller in device manager to Standard PCI-to-PCI Bridge. I have no idea if that might be one of the reasons my computer is being so mean. Im running a:

VisionTek ATI Radeon HD 3650 1GB AGP DDR2 Graphics Card.
