VDrift now has an autoclutch setting in the menu under Options -> Controls -> Autoclutch. This setting (I think) disables the engage/disengage clutch actions and instead does it automatically. For instance, when you shift gears, the clutch is automatically engaged and disengaged; also, when the car's RPM drops very low and is about to stall, the clutch automatically goes in, preventing the car from stalling. This will not always save the car from stalling. For instance, when starting from Neutral and shifting to 1st gear when the car is not moving, you must still give it some gas or it will stall.
