because of this i've overcome my laziness and learned to navigate the track art pipeline.
so, i've been working on a garage track. something small and residential to start with. that might be used to display your car in the menu system. but i can't seem to get the exporter to always export everything. can't really tell what's going wrong with it. but most often it doesn't export the floor of the garage and that leaves the car falling through the void.

it seems to be only collide-able objects that have intermittent success on export. but as to what exactly makes it and what doesn't i don't know. in this case it doesn't have a .trk file since there wasn't supposed to be any real road.

anybody have any ideas?

just tried to replicate the behavior and i can't. the scripts are being good. hopefully it was user error Sad next time i run into an issue i'll try to document what i'm (mis)doing better.

...though i bet that as soon as i post this, i'll start have problems again...
My track is dark in trackeditor & vdrift.so i cant see my track properly .What to do?. Sad Sad Sad

@nan: got something shaping up now. and am working on garage shared objects (toolbox at the moment).

the problem i have now is that when i add entries to the objects.txt the rest of the track doesn't load. and i'm left with an elise and a toolbox falling through space (sorta likethe intro to heavy metal). if you want to check it out, it may be easier for me to commit my changes since they involve shared objects as well as a track.

though, the track isn't really meant to be a track to race on, just a menu backdrop like we were talking about in another thread. and the garage is pretty spare. i was planning on cluttering it up with shared objects
@zimluura: Yeah, check it in I'll make sure to find some time for this.

Have got like half a dozen local branches(hacks) with names like sky, skidmarks, fracture, gui, network piling up. Hacking on vdrift is fun, implementing it properly is work, sigh.
@nan: ok, it's checked in, if you want to cause most of the track to disappear then un-comment the 4 lines in the objects.txt file.
