are you using freebsd, linux, osx or windows? did you get any error messages? if you're running windows, is there any stderr.txt or stdout.txt in your vdrift folder? if so please post the contents...
im using windows and i had a look the files called stderr.txt and stdout.txt. stderr.txt had: Fatal signal: Segmentation Fault (SDL Parachute Deployed)and stdout.txt had: 0 joystick(s) found:also a while ago it said that cs interior couldnt be found
OK, so the game is crashing...I'm assuming you're running XP, and you have the latest drivers for your video card. What type of card do you have? How much RAM do you have? What resolution?
all i no is it has 712mb ram
i had this error to
My computer:
P3 800mhz
Ram: 192mb
Grapics:16mb
Oh i forget(im from estonia cant write right Big Grin)
Windows: ME
please help!
I'm really not sure why it would crash like that right when starting a game, but my first guess would be that your video card can't handle the game. Still I guess it should just run really slowly, not just crash outright, but then again you're running windows ME, so that could have something to do with it too...
what videocard this game need?
A Geforce3 TI or better is probably a good idea. I run on a Geforce4 TI4200 and I get around 20-40 FPS on the latest SVN version in 1280x1024 chase view (depends on the track) with large textures and medium view distance.

There are a lot of things you can do to improve performance, it might run if you turn everything down as low as it will go.
hmm i buy 128mb or 256mb videocard
but others items good?
800mhz?
192 ram?

what is this game minimum system req

Good question. We really haven't tried to hammer one out since the performance of the game has been a little different with just about every release. You do need a pretty competent CPU to handle the physics, and a graphics card with several multitexture units in order to handle the graphics. I haven't lately examined how much memory the game uses while running, but I'd suggest at least 256 MB system memory and close other apps while running.
Thank you for helping (Y)
Don't forget to give the new version a try, when it comes out for Windows...real soon now I swear 8)
