I am not sure whether you heard of this bug before.

Sometimes when i start a race the ground goes to white color.

I've fixed this bug in SVN (our working version of the code). The bugfix will be in the next release.

It's triggered by moving though different track selections on the track selection menu item.

When you see that problem occur, you're required to close VDrift and relaunch VDrift.

I tried this, but I don't see a problem. What version are you using, on what operating system, and what graphics card?

I believe the problem feldmann_markus was having is related to bugs in the texture loading code for the car shadow that would cause white to be drawn randomly on the ground around the car. Those bugs have been fixed for a while now.
