Hello to all.

I just wanna tell u that I will port this fantastic game to PBI (the PC-BSD Installer) and maintain it to the last version.

For those who dont know what Im talking about, PC-BSD its an Operating System based on FreeBSD oriented to novel users, so we try to put things easy for our users.Thats the reason why we created PBI system, our "executable"...a second option to install software instead or classic FreeBSD ports.

I leave you a link to the VDrift PBI and I hope it will be approved soon:

Un saludo,
Gonzalo Martinez - Sanjuan Sanchez.

Thanks a lot for your work packaging the game! If you have any questions about the game, how to build, or anything else for that matter, please check out our IRC channel (click "Chat" in the menu above).

To respond to the thread on the PC-BSD forum: the car stalls on purpose, because real cars stall sometimes...however there are a few things that aren't perfect, like some cars have a too-sticky clutch which makes it easier to stall.

Also, as to requirements, I'm not sure what would be a good ATI card to play with. Apple users all have ATI cards, and most seem happy with VDrift's performance at least in a window. I'm not sure what kind of framerates they're getting.

How is ATI support on BSD anyway? I thought since it's really not all that hot on Linux it must be abysmal on BSD...but I have no idea really. I know they're improving regularly, and there's always open source drivers for older cards...

Kudos to whomever did your layout on the Geeklog PC-BSD site. it's much better than any of the ones I ever did...
ATI support on FreeBSD is not so hot. nVidia is much better, and the performance is quite good. To give you an idea, I know quite a few people that run FreeBSD, but none that I know personally run ATI video.
