Full Version: About the graphics

The lighting in the tracks is very simple. The lighting is the same on the whole tracks !! There should have more lights and shadows in the tracks. Some places must be darker other lighter and so on.
There must have some mirror efect on wet groud.
Our tracks are sort of limited in that all of them were directly imported from Racer tracks. We've discussed more dynamic shadow systems and some of our tracks have static shadows already. These don't yet affect the cars.
I think the next thing to do to improve the graphics is to improve the textures; they still look very "low-res" Wink
Nigo, which textures are you referring to? The cars, the tracks, or what? In terms of the cars, each model has its own 512x512 texture if you're using the Large Texture Size setting. If you're using medium or small all the textures are scaled down so you get 256x256 (Medium) or 128x128 (Small). Are you already using Large? If so which cars in particular look the most "low-res" to you?
I was thinking about the tracks, and particulary the tarmac (and the grass next to it)
