I am testing on iMac G5 21 2GHz. I deleted everything with "vdrift" in ~/library/preferences/

The introducing Picture is red colored.

In Practice Game

preview of previous tracks are colored. New tracks are ok.
Some car previews are partially transparent, F1 especially and for example the tires of T73


In TCS-Mode the F1 Car is very difficult to start.

Good message the screenshots now works correct!
could you post a few screenshots illustrating the (color) problems? especially i'm not sure what you mean by previous and new tracks - new to this release?

Road atlantas road seem to be a mirror.
The C7 ist nearly invisible when not moving.
Most models are partially transparent, especially the tyres, in preview and on track.

Previews of tracks are red, except the new tracks of the actual release.
Road Atlanta has a mirroring road... very phantastic....
That's a very strange effect with everything being half-transparent or missing. Is everyone on OS X PPC having this problem?

The next days i will test on MacBook, Intel proz with complete different video.

The red-effect is the same as on the screenshots of the last release.
The trackshot.png are all ok.

yes i can reproduce it now

sorry didn't catch that in prerelease testing in PPC as it doesn't happen in the default track/car. also i skip the introducing Picture as the lag annoys me ^^

must be some byte-order problem, but it is kinda strange that this happens only to *some* trackshots.

the problems should go completely away when setting the texture size to large (in advanced settings) - if not please let me know.

(it seems SDL_gfx is broken on big endian, at least zoomSurface() is. i'm looking for a fix)

All visual problems disappeard! Road Atlanta ok, C7 and F1 ok. Startscreen, previews of cars and tracks ok!

Only the sound-bug remains.
just to confirm you are talking about using the updated build and not the workaround with the large textures?
i used your "vdrift-new.zip" version. -)

I never used SVN.
i'm glad the fix works.

@thelusiv: so how should we handle this? since most mac users are still on PPC and medium textures are the default the impact of this bug is most likely very high. i propose uploading fixed mac packages and adding a small update package for those users that have already downloaded it.
I think that's a fine solution. Go ahead and replace the packages, just make sure to let people know what's going on in the release announcement story so that you can be sure they see it.
