Hey,Just installed the windows Binary, which I understand is already out of date, so please forgive me if this bug has been addressed already. I can set the controls to use the joystick button for gas, but I sure can't seem to get it to work. I tried toggling the held options and what not, but that didn't affect a thing. If I set the gas control to use my up axis on my game pad, it works right away..... any ideas? It is real possibility that this is a may be a PEBKAC (Problem Exists Between Keyboard and Chair).Just for reference I'm using an MS Sidewinder Game Pad.Thanks for the project, it looks to be making real leaps and bounds already.
There was just released the 8-2 Windows build, make sure you're using that, and if the bug still exists there.I just confirmed that this does work correctly in the Linux version, I used buttons set as "held" for brake and gas and was able to play very nicely. It should (theoretically) work in the Windows version too.
In the 6-25 release you couldn't bind a joystick button to an "analog" style control like gas or brake or steering. The capability to do that was added in one of the July releases, so pick up the 8-2 release and give it a go! (Plus, the 8-2 release has a chris' new s2000 and a new track!)
Cool, I downloaded the game on the 1st so I dont have the new version. I'll give it a try. Thanks for the quick reply.
