Hi, I'm back on this forum, but now with a good one.
It's been quite a lot since I did a real car, so I choose a rare and squared

I started yesterday from the tail, and today conplete the rest of the shape.

Mi problem right now It's to reduce the poly count, I'm over 3100, and its not even finished. i guess I have to simplify the details of the lights.
In my opinion, 3100 is just fine, but I have a newer graphics card. :-)
3100 faces is really not that bad. Your model is looking pretty good already, how much time have you spent on it so far? Tried importing into the game yet?
My original ideas was to make it without a limit polycount, until I read the wiki. So I tr ying to keep it around 3000.
I reduce the poly on the wheels because I simplify the brake disks. I also change te optics and add other details.

thelusiv, I gues I spent about 6 hours, distributed in this 2 days, and I haven tried yet, I installed the script, and I saw the example model, but haven' t test it.
Looking good and you don't have to simplify allot since we can also use a few higher poly count cars, so if you end up with 4500 I suspect that won't be a problem.
If you need any help with exporting from blender, we are on IRC. I'm there gmt +1 daytime and thelusiv is there US time.
Looks Good. will be a nice addition to game when done.
P.S. Whos doing the .car file?
ermmh, no idea, ¿It's hard to do? I know some programming and I made some modifications to F1 Challenge cars. I have to complete the interiors and UV mapping, then I will check that.

By the way, I have a question: ¿the model exporter for blender is compatible with any version of blender? I have 2.43 and 2.44.
As far as I know it's compatible with those versions of Blender.
Yes they are compatible, I've already tested them.
