You should try it again.
The problem is in the autopackage files, it selects a mirror which does not work.
I hope the script selects a mirror randomly, or everybody will encouter this problem.
(I still dont like autopackage... why not using the loki installer?)

Thats sad.
You still can extract the package itself with sh Vdriftblabla -x
I greped for "www" through the autopackage files and found then one entry called mirrors. maybe it helps if you just delete the last mirror from the list.
But i dont know how firm you are with linux and the shell, this might be just too much for you.
The Loki-Installer was for all the other readers and contributors
Its a system like autopackage but invented by loki to easily install binary software. UT used it.

Run this:
It'll extract files to a folder like VDrift-2007-03-23-minimal-2 and the game and data files will be there. It would normally have install all the files in VDrift-2007-03-23-minimal-2/usr to your /usr.
Code:
chmod 755 VDrift-2007-03-23-full-2.package
./VDrift-2007-03-23-minimal-2.package -x

I manage to install the game!!!
The problem was that the packets I was trying to install were for Ubuntu 32Bit.
I download the 64Bit package and everything OK.
Thanks for the replies!
